Rec or Treat

Explore the Renaud Spirit Center for Halloween treats, and lots of fun activities, like slime making, crafts, games, balloon artists, inflatables and prizes. You can also meet Toy Story's Woody and Jessie!

Then, enjoy a free screening of the Halloween movie Toy Story of Terror. Bring your swimsuits for free open swim.

Food Truck Frolic and Family Movie Night

Grab your kids and enjoy dinner from a variety of food trucks and catch a free showing of a family movie at St. Charles Community College. Food trucks will be located in the Red Parking Lot. There will also be fun activities for kids and a DJ.

See a free showing of the animated film Dispicable Me.

5 to 8 p.m. at St. Charles Community College. The movie starts at dusk outside near the Technology Building, or, in case of inclement weather, indoors in the Center Gym.

Trunktoberfest

Kids can trick or treat and enjoy some not-so-spooky Halloween fun at the first ever Trunktoberfest sponsored by the St. Charles Community College Foundation. There will be lots of activities for kids, food trucks, and an outdoor movie at sundown. Costumes are encouraged!  All trick or treating activities and candy will be provided by the SCC Student Activities. This is not an event where you deorate your own vehicle for trick or treating.

4-8 p.m. at St. Charles Community College in Cottleville. Free and open to all.

Sunset Hills Halloween Party

Celebrate everything spooky at this family Halloween party packed with fun activities. There will be a costume contest with prizes for the winners, a rock wall, gigantic slide, food and refreshments, hayrides with storytelling, a DJ, games and more.

5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Watson Trail Park.

Admission is $5 per person; Food tickets are $3 per person.

Trunk or Treat for Kids and Dogs

Bring your kids and your dog to the Purina Farms Trunk or Treat! In addition to plenty of treats for your two-legged and four-legged little ones, there will be face-painting, games, balloon animals, opportunities for keepsake photos and adoptable dogs on site.

Trunk or Treat is open to kids ages 12 and under. Admission is $5 per child for ages 3-12. Age 2 and under are free. Dogs are $5. Parking is free.

All tickets must be pre-purchased. All dogs must be well-behaved, up-to-date on vaccinations with a visible rabies tag, be on a leash and at least four months old.

At the Purina Farms Visitor Center RV Lot. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Family Ghoulish Party and Movie Spooktacular

Put on your costumes and head over to Fireman's Park for the all new Family Ghoulish Party and Movie Spooktacular sponsored by the Wentzville Firefighters Community Outreach and Wentzville Park and Recreation.

Families will enjoy games, Halloween activities, a costume contest, a hay maze and giveaways. Every pre-registered child age 14 and under will receive their own pumpkin. All who pre-register will also receive a hot dog, chips and drink. The movie The Goonies will be shown on the big screen. Bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating.

At the new Station 1 Firehouse on Luetkenhaus Blvd. in Wentzville. Pre-registered cost is $5 for residents and $7 for non-residents. $7 and $10 on the day of the event.

The event starts at 5:30 p.m. and the movie begins at 7 p.m.

Pumpkin Jamboree at Eckerts

Ride the wagons out to the pumpkin patch to search for your great pumpkin, even one up to 150 pounds! You can also enjoy wagon rides, country music, live entertainment, pony rides, petting farm, children’s activities, make-your-own scarecrow, funnel cakes and festival foods. At Eckerts Farms in Belleville, Millstadt and Grafton, Ill.

Canine Carnival

Bring your family pooch to Tilles Park for the 2017 Canine Carnival, where dogs play the games and win the prizes.

There will also be plenty of activities for kids, adoptable pets, raffles, exhibitor booths, live music, food trucks, a beer garden and more. And don't miss the Canine King and Queen contest with celebrity judges! Dogs who are well behaved, up to date on vaccinations and on a leash are invited to share in the fun. (No retractable leashes please).

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Tilles Park. All (human) guests must have a ticket to enter the carnival. General admission is $15. Children under 12 are free.  VIP packages are available.
