Kids love to look at and climb on big trucks, and the Valley Park Parents as Teachers organization is hosting a free Things That Go event that will give kids the chance to do just that. On Saturday, Sept. 22, the public is invited to this free event, held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Valley Park School District's parking lot, One Main Street in Valley Park. Click for Map.
Things That Go will feature a fire engine, ambulance, backhoe, bobcat, dump truck, helicopter, ice cream truck, tow truck, police car, school bus and more. Little ones can toot the vehicles' horns, sound sirens and check out levers and gauges with the assistance of trained professionals.
Nurses from St. Louis Children's Hospital will be on hand for helmet fittings too! New helmets will be sold for $10. To make an appointment for a helmet fitting, call 314-454-KIDS and state that you need an appointment for the Valley Park fitting event on Sept. 22.
