Project MEGSSS offers two summer programs for math-talented middle school students: MathJam and Introduction to Elements. Both programs offer an academic challenge beyond traditional middle school offerings with highly qualified faculty and a superior curriculum.
MathJam is an open, two-week summer program that offers challenging mathematics experiences for highly motivated, math-talented students in 4th-7th grade.
The Elements program is for qualified, current 5th and 6th grade students who excel in math and whose abilities fall outside of the range of the usual classroom curricula. Students are nominated by their school or their parents (nominate online at www.megsss.org), and qualify by testing. Qualified students can attend Introduction to Elements, a challenging, two-week summer program (held at the same times and locations as MathJam). These students may continue on in the fall with our after-school Elements program.
