Forest Park

Take to the ice with jolly ole' St. Nick himself during Skate with Santa at the Steinberg Skating Rink in Forest Park. 

Kids of all ages can learn the basics of cane pole fishing at free program sponsored by the Missouri Department of Conservation. Poles and bait are provided.

The kid and pet-friendly festival features entertainment, food, Pro Plan Performance Team Exhibitions, pet contests and vendor booths — all while benefitting the Humane Society of Missouri Animal Cruelty Fund.

Bring your furry friend and test your paddling prowess on the Post-Dispatch Lake at The Boathouse in Forest Park.

No pooch? No problem! Spectators are welcome. 

Heats are at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. with the championship heat at 3:30 p.m. The entry fee is $40 per dog and master team.

A portion of the proceeds from the race will be donated to Forest Park Forever.

In honor of the fun-loving North American River Otter, the Saint Louis Zoo is hosting Ottertoberfest, featuring traditional German biergartens, live music, kids activities and more.

Award-winning naturalist Mark Glenshaw has been studying great horned owls in Forest Park since 2005. At this free presentation for all ages, Glenshaw will discuss the amazing hunting and feeding behaviors of these owls with pictures and videos to illustrate these behaviors. 

Free. 7 p.m. at the St. Louis County Library, Daniel Boone Branch. Registration requested.

Kids ages 4 to 12 can participate in the Kids Bunny Run, a part of the Lift for Life Gym's Hops Run 2015. There will be a 1/4 "bunny trail" just for kids with four silly themed challenge stations.

Bring your camera for photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny and Fred Bird!

At the completion of the Bunny Run, children will receive a complimentary breakfast item and a drink, plus prizes and medals for all participants. 

10:15 at the Lower Muny Parking Lot in Forest Park. Registration is $10 per child in advance and $15 on race day.
