Kids who love animals will love Animal Tales. In this program, they'll hear stories with animal characters in them, then meet the live versions of those animals! This program is presented by the St. Louis County Library and Saint Louis Zoo

Kids can bring out their inner sculptor at this free balloon twisting workshop. They'll learn how to twist a basic balloon dog, a simple hat, a huge octopus and more. Presented by Circus Kaput. At the St. Louis County Library.

The Balloon Twisting workshop takes place:

March 23 at 2 p.m. at the Grant's View Branch

March 24 at 2 p.m. at the Florissant Valley Branch

Free, but registration is required. 

In this amazing workshop, kids will learn how to connect modern science with myth and ancient starlight as they map the stars and study the motion of our galazy.

Your preschooler will get a chance to experiment with a variety of items that rely on air to help them move in this hands-on program presented by the St. Louis County Library and Mad Science of St. Louis.

The Book Buddies Shelter Pet Program lets kids to adore animals make a real difference in the lives of shelter pets.

As part of the Book Buddies Shelter Pet Program with the Humane Society of Missouri, kids ages 6-12 are trained to read to shelter pets. Reading to the shelter dogs helps to bring comfort them and reduces anxiety. It also makes the pet more adoptable. Reading helps shy dogs learn to relax around people and teaches high energy dogs and calm behavior is desirable.
