Celebrate the weekend before many kids go back to school with a pool party!

Gather with friends and family in Tilles Park for live music and some of St. Louis' favorite food trucks. 

Enjoy a beautiful candlelight tour of the historic Thornhill House in Faust Park.

Thornhill is the original estate of Missouri's second governor Frederick Bates. During these self-guided tours, the customs of the 1820s will surround guests, along with historically dressed docents. 

Admission is $8 for adults, and $5 for children ages 4 to 12. Children younger than 4 are free.

Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. and Dec. 10 at 5 p.m.

Celebrate "Talk Like a Pirate Day" by going on a pirate treasure hunt at Creve Coeur Park and see if you can find the hidden treasure on the beach.

Bring your whole family for this special evening in Creve Coeur Park. You'll enjoy live country music, marshmallows and hot chocolate, and hayrides for people of all abilities (a ramp assisted hay wagon will be available).

Lawn chairs are welcome, and the music starts at 6:30 p.m.

Hayride times are 6, 7 and 8 p.m. on Sept. 23 and Sept. 24.  Cost is $10 per person. Advance registration is required by calling 314-615-8480, and please request special accommodations if needed. 

This one-day, free program is designed to teach participants the basic fundamentals of football. 

Each child will be given one-on-one and group style instruction by an experienced coaching staff. A full-court scrimmage game will be held at the conclusion of the training session. For ages 4-12. Free. Sponsored by St. Louis County Parks. 10 a.m. to noon.

Enjoy a fun play time at the Carousel in Faust Park. Kids ages 5 and under, along with a parent or caregiver, can enjoy the play room and rides on the carousel between 10 a.m. and noon. Play & Ride dates are subject to change, so please check the full listing before you plan to go.
