Want Some Kid-Free Shopping on Black Friday? Try These Unique Child Care Options

If you plan to take on the holiday shopping crowds this Friday and are looking for fun child care options for your kids, several St. Louis organizations are offering special Black Friday events that will keep your kids entertained while you get down to business! At each of these options, you can drop off your kids as you head to the stores and rest assured they're having a blast while you tackle your gift list.

Of course, even if you're not planning to shop but have other items on your agenda (lunch with friends? a day at the spa? getting the holiday decorating done? You get the picture!) your kids are welcome to spend the day with old friends and new at these venues. Please note that some require reservations.

• Black Friday Shop 'Til You Drop at Kidsplay

With locations in Manchester and O'Fallon, Kidsplay offers drop-in child care year-round (as well as regular child care, fall, winter, spring break and summer camps), and on Black Friday, they're open from 6:30 a.m. to midnight. Special activities are planned for the kids, like games, crafts, a fun indoor play area and XBox games, and you can even save on the hourly rate with this coupon from their Facebook page for $10 off a 2-hour minimum stay. No reservations are needed for ages 2 and up. Hourly rates vary but start at $8 with sibling discounts available.

For kids under age 2, the O'Fallon Kidsplay location offers child care, but reservations are needed (636-379-9494). For more information and to download the coupon, visit the Kidsplay Facebook page or check the listing on our Things To Do calendar.

On Saturday, Kidsplay is also offering a Let's Talk Turkey-themed day. Kids can make turkey crafts, play games that celebrate our friend the turkey and enjoy special treats. Hours on Saturday are 8 a.m. to midnight. Reservations are not needed for ages 2 and up, but as with the Shop 'Til You Drop event, children 2 and under are accepted at the O'Fallon location with reservations.

• Parents Morning Out and Parents Night Out at Miss Kelly's Gym
