Halloween isn't over in St. Louis until you take your kids to The Great Candy Exchange! Sponsored by the Delta Dental Health Theatre, The Great Candy Exchange is a free event where kids get one more chance to wear their costumes, win great prizes, and donate their leftover Halloween Candy to our troops.
The Great Candy Exchange will be held Friday, Nov. 1 at the Vetta Sports Soccerdome in Webster Groves. Kids can turn in unopened Halloween candy in exchange for chances to win a variety of great prizes that encourage healthy habits and active play (including an Xbox One Day One Edition with game, valued at $550.).
All candy collected is sent to our troops (along with toothbrushes!) through A Soldier’s Wish List, and kids who attend this high-energy event will get to see live shows, bounce on inflatables, wear their costume one last time for the costume contest, enjoy healthy snacks, and even make friends with characters like the Tooth Fairy, Tooth Wizard, and Sir Smiles-A-Lot. There will also be face painting, balloon art, a photo booth, healthy snacks, and a meet & greet with the St. Louis Ambush! Kids will also get unlimited bounce time on the incredible inflatables at Vetta Sports!
Each pound of candy your child turns in is worth one raffle ticket. Individuals can increase their chances in the prize drawings by bringing new, unopened, child-sized socks, underwear and personal hygiene items to donate to the Little Bit Foundation, which helps meet the basic needs of children in our community, or making a $5 donation to the Delta Dental Health Theatre. Prize drawings will take place at 7:30 p.m., and individuals must be present to win.
Classrooms, clubs, organizations and teams can get involved too. The group that surrenders the most candy by weight will receive free admission to a 2013 show at the Delta Dental Health Theatre. The school with the highest attendance will receive a $250 donation to buy books for their library, courtesy of Delta Dental of Missouri.
Free. 4 to 8 p.m. (with prize drawings at 7:30 p.m.) at Vetta Sports in Webster Groves. For more information, call 314-241-7391, or go to www.ddhtstl.org.
