Watching a full moon rise over the Shaw Nature Reserve is quite the sight! Take a 2 hour stroll through evening and into the early night. Sunset will occur around 7:20, and will be followed by moonrise at 8:02. Apart from viewing this natural spectacle, you will also learn about crepuscular and nocturnal animals. In addition, we will play a series of games (fun for adults too!) that test your senses.
If you've never been to the Reserve at night, this will be a wonderful opportunity to take in the sights, sounds, and smells of the Reserve as darkness takes over. Please be prepared to walk about 2 miles over uneven ground.
For adults and families with children ages 8 and up.
Admission is $6 for the general public and $5 for Missouri Botanical Garden members.
7 to 9 p.m. At Shaw Nature Reserve, Highway 100, south of I-44 at exit #253, Gray Summit, MO 63039.
