Kids can explore construction trucks, a fire truck, ambulance, police car, bucket truck, combine, tractors, and lots more at the O'Fallon, Ill., Community Park Touch a Truck.
Children will be allowed to touch, climb on and ask questions about their favorite trucks in a safe, supervised environment. City personnel will teach kids about the equipment and how these vehicles help our communities.
Touch A Truck is set for Saturday, September 9 from 10 a.m. to noon at Community Park in O'Fallon, Illinois. Registration is NOT required for this free event.

The Spring Fishing Derby at Watson Trail Park is free and open to the general public and kids of all ages. Participants can compete for trophies for the smallest, largest and most fish caught.
See the Zoo's California sea lions perform acrobatic and athletic feats, including Olympic-style dives on a high-diving platform, flipper walks, frisbee tosses and plenty of surprises. While on stage with the sea lions, the Zoo's trainers explain sea lion behavior and positive-reinforcement training, in addition to the need for conserving the sea lion's ocean habitat.
The Saint Louis Science Center has expanded its Preschool Science Series to include new offerings for different age groups of young scientists. Storybook STEM is for ages 3 to 5.
