Do you want your child to have a summer of real fun—and real growth? Every parent wants their child to laugh, play, and come home a little more confident each day. That’s what The Recreation Academy’s Sports & Games Madness is all about—combining high-energy fun with real-life skill development. Our camps are packed with classic and creative games—kickball, dodgeball, relay races, flag tag, Ga Ga Ball, 9 Square in the Air, capture the flag, foam-tipped archery, and plenty of gameplay variations. Every day brings new excitement, laughter, and opportunities to learn.

Community School Summer Camps

Play, learn, and create on Community School’s beautiful 18-acre campus this summer! Camps are available for children age 3 through eighth grade and include full- and half-day options. Choose from dozens of activities led by experienced faculty and partners, including En Passant Chess Club, Mad Science of St. Louis, STAGES, The Fencers Academy, The Recreation Academy, and more. Programming also features Community’s signature FUNdamentals Camp, designed to help children beat the summer slump in August. Camps have limited enrollment, so register today!

Sea Lion Shows at the Saint Louis Zoo

See the Zoo's California sea lions perform acrobatic and athletic feats, including Olympic-style dives on a high-diving platform, flipper walks, frisbee tosses and plenty of surprises. While on stage with the sea lions, the Zoo's trainers explain sea lion behavior and positive-reinforcement training, in addition to the need for conserving the sea lion's ocean habitat.
