Weather is one of the most dynamic forces shaping our planet, but now it's more extreme and complex than ever. Extreme Weather takes viewers to the frontlines where few have gone.

At this free, hands-on workshop, kids and a parent can make a crate toolbox and paint it their favorite color.

Thornhill is the original estate of Missouri's second governor Frederick Bates. During these self-guided tours, the customs of the 1820s will surround guests, along with historically dressed docents. 

Admission is $8 for adults, and $5 for children ages 4 to 12. Children younger than 4 are free.

Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. and Dec. 10 at 5 p.m.
