
The Greater St. Louis Book Fair is one of the nation's oldest, largest and most popular charity book sales. For more than 60 years, book lovers and collectors have enjoyed bargain prices on a diverse and quality selection of new, gently-used and rare books.
Fair proceeds benefit local non-profit education and literacy programs. The 2017 Greater St. Louis Book Fair will start the evening of Thursday, May 3 and continue through Sunday, May 6 at the Greensfelder Recreation Complex in Queeny Park.

New this year: Opening Night line number braclets will be available for the first 200 people beginning at 8 a.m. on Thursday, May 3. Purchase an admission bracelet for $15, then return to your place in line by 3:30 p.m.

See the Zoo's California sea lions perform acrobatic and athletic feats, including Olympic-style dives on a high-diving platform, flipper walks, frisbee tosses and plenty of surprises. While on stage with the sea lions, the Zoo's trainers explain sea lion behavior and positive-reinforcement training, in addition to the need for conserving the sea lion's ocean habitat.
Storytelling in the Museum is an in-person storytelling event happening at 10:30 a.m. at the Missouri History Museum. This event, perfect for the preschool set, features engaging stories with themes like Grandparents Day, Hispanic Heritage Month, and mealtime. Storytelling in the Museum is free.
