We've Got a Winner!

Nine-year-old Brooke from Kirkwood was selected as our 2010 Cover Kid at this afternoon's Cover Kids Back-to-School Fashion Show! Brooke was the finalist in the kids (ages 5-12) category as well. Other finalists were Andrew, 2, in the toddler category, Marisa, 14, in the teen category, and Mirabel, 43, in the adult category.

Grand prize winner Brooke will be featured on the cover of our Fall issue, on newsstands in mid-August. Thanks to everyone who came to Saint Louis Galleria to see the fashion show and watch Brooke be crowned the winner! Photos will follow soon.

It all started in April when we announced our contest for Cover Kids 2010. After narrowing the field first to 20 semi-finalists in each category and then to four finalists in each category (thanks to more than 46,000 votes by you, our readers!), we're about to choose our Cover Kid for 2010! All finalists have won a modeling contract with Menagerie Models! One finalist in each category will also win a professional photography shoot by St. Louis children's photographer Jennifer Mannion of Pixie Posie, along with a $100 gift certificate to the Saint Louis Galleria, and will appear in the Fall issue of St. Louis Kids Magazine. The grand prize winner selected from the Toddler, Kids and Teen categories will appear on the cover of our Fall issue!

These winners walked the runway at the Fashion Show with very special host Virginia Kerr of KMOV! To see a preview of the show, check out this segment on Great Day St. Louis

Our Back-to-School Fashion Show and Cover Kids Contest benefited the Children's Home Society of Missouri. Find out more about the Children's Home Society and the great work they do at www.chsmo.org.
