Kids can learn how to play it safe starting September 12 when Kirkwood Safety Town returns to The Magic House. Co-created by The Magic House and the City of Kirkwood, this interactive exhibit is designed to educate the region's youngest residents about safety. Kirkwood Safety Town features a child-sized neighborhood including a fire station, police station, electric company, farmers market, park, house, and even a train station!
On the first Friday of each month, kids are invited to spend some free time getting fit and having fun at Fit Kid: Free Kid at The Magic House. Kids 12 and under who complete a fitness challenge and register in advance will earn free admission! They'll also get to try new fitness activities because each Fit Kid: Free Kid features a different theme.

See the Zoo's California sea lions perform acrobatic and athletic feats, including Olympic-style dives on a high-diving platform, flipper walks, frisbee tosses and plenty of surprises. While on stage with the sea lions, the Zoo's trainers explain sea lion behavior and positive-reinforcement training, in addition to the need for conserving the sea lion's ocean habitat.
Young visitors and their families are invited to the Energy Stage to enjoy interactive read-alouds of science-themed picture books. Story times are followed by a short demonstration or discussion connected to the book's main concepts.
