Have fun at the not-so-scary Terror in Tower Grove Park Halloween festival for all ages.

Bring your kids to an old-fashioned street festival for Macklind Days. The festival features a Kids Zone, lots of food vendors, local businesses, live music and more. 

Familes will have a blast at Purina Farms Pet-A-Palooza, a celebration of pets and their families. In addition to being one of the biggest pet adoption days in the area (including dogs, cats, rabbits and more), Pet-A-Palooza will feature grooming areas for pets, a kids area with inflatables and games, a pet photo booth, food, live music and a showcase of some of the latest pet gear and accessories. You'll also enjoy the Incredible Dog Challenge, the Barn and Play Area, and Pro Plan Performance Team Dog Shows, which take place at the Incredible Dog Arena. Admission is free. Parking is $5.

Kids ages 3-5 can explore the fanciful world of Mother Goose and her friends through ballet at this free story time with dancing and movement.

COCAPlay is a series of free art classes designed to help your little ones stretch their creative muscles. Stay for a few minutes or stay the whole time. 

Explore the cosmos with fun activities and experiences at Family Fun Night: Explore Outer Space at the St. Louis County Library. Members of the St. Louis Astronomical Society will join in for some out-of-this-world fun. Free for all ages. 

Enjoy a scenic ride along the Meramec River in the mini train of the Wabash & Frisco Railroad. Trains pulled by historic live steam locomotives and diesels will take you on a 30-minute journey that travels just over two miles through the trees and along the bluffs of the Meramec River Valley.
