The Magic House, MADE for Kids will be hosting an exhibit of its own as TapeScape, an innovative playscape made almost entirely out of packing tape, opens for play on June 2 in the makerspace. 

The timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale is reborn with this Tony-nominated Broadway adaptation of the beloved musical which will put a spell on audiences of all ages. Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella showcases some of the songwriting duo’s loveliest tunes, including “In My Own Little Corner,” “Impossible/It’s Possible,” and “Ten Minutes Ago.”

Summer Zoo Weekends feature extended summer hours Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., and Friday through Monday on Memorial Day weekend. Drop in with your family to the World Chess Hall of Fame for free, self-led paper pinwheel crafting in the Play & Create gallery. After you've created your masterpiece, you and your family can read, socialize, play chess and other board games, or continue to get creative with the arts and crafts supplies.

Visit the World Chess Hall of Fame for a movement improvisation experience focused on connection, exploration and curiosity around the way our babies move. The Babywearing session begins with a gentle warm-up, followed by an instructed baby-wearing dance and wraps up with structured, playful improvisation.
