Teens and Tweens

Enjoy Open Play on the obstacle courses at Ultimate Ninjas in Chesterfield on Monday, Feb. 18. Families are welcome to enjoy the customizable obstacle courses and work on skills as a family from 1 to 3 p.m.

Kids and teens ages 6-15 can practice and explore a variety of obstacles, fine tune their skills on a single obstacle, or practice running the customizable courses at Ultimate Ninjas Open Play. Registration is recommended. 

Enjoy a presentation of West African drumming of the Malinke ethnic group from SpecDrum. You'll learn about the fhythms and what they are used for in African culture, and be ready to try out the drums! This Black History Month event is for all ages.

The Hundred Dresses tells the story of Wanda Petronski, the new girl in Room 13, who is a Polish immigrant who lives in a shabby house and doesn't have any friends. Every day she wears the same faded blue dress, but tells her new classmates that she has a hundred dresses at home. Her classmates tease Wanda about her hundred dresses until one day she disappears from school. As guilt overtakes the children, they decide to find out what happened to Wanda and to make amends. But is it too late? Bullying, friendship, and forgiveness as at the center of this play adapted from the beloved Newberry Honor Book by Eleanor Estes. 

Put on your black light reflective gear and head to Upper Limits Rock Climbing Gym for Cosmic Climb! This out-of-this-world climb is held on the third Friday of each month. 

Don't miss Circus Harmony's annual confluence of music and circus arts for 2019: Accelerando, a circus spy thriller. Accelerando features new acts, including Chinese Pole and Hoop Diving, coached by Circus Harmony graduates who are touring the world performing these acts with Cirque du Soleil! 

Momentum is a mix of cutting-edge hip hop and contemporary dance across a broad range of styles. For ages 5 and up.
