This presentation, for parents, middle and high school students, and youth and community leaders, focuses on the deadly effects of heroin and opioid use and will include specific actions to take to protect your children. Presentations will be made by treatment providers, parents affected by this crisis, law enforcement and health care providers.
In addition to guiding parents on how to protect their children from heroin and opioid use, a panel of experts will be on hand to answer questions. Free childcare for younger children will be provided.
6:30 to 8 p.m. on April 26 at Parkway Central High School. Free.
Weather permitting, the STOP HEROIN walk will start at 5:30 p.m. on the Central High School track. Presented by Parkway Schools and the Alliance for Healthy Communities. Open to all.
