Surround yourself with the magic of the season as the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House becomes alive with living winter jewels. Escape the cold and enjoy the warm temperatures inside the Butterfly House's tropical conservatory as more than 1,000 jewel-toned butterflies surrounding you in free flight.
Go on a treasure hunt through the Animal Exhibit Hall, discover fairies in the Tropical Conservatory and new friends in the Gnome Forest.
Winter Jewels: A Holiday Celebration is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., through Dec. 31. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The Butterfly House will close at 3 p.m. on December 11, 12, 18 and 19 for Supper With Santa.

Science Tots is designed for children ages 18 to 36 months. The class provides opportunities to support brain development and learning. Toddlers and their grown-ups will explore STEM topics through songs, stories, hands-on exploration and play.
