Parents, want to get some shopping or errands done on Saturday morning? Artscope offering a Saturday drop-in art program for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade.

Kids are welcome to wear their costumes and visit Apotheosis Comics for Halloween Comicfest. There will be free comics, candy and spoooooky storytelling! 

The Imaginary Theatre Company presents this new musical adaptation of Mary Griggs Can Coorhis' short story "The Boy with the Box." At Christmas, Tom is eager to show off his new skates, until someone appears with the newer, better pair. But when Tom meets a friend with no holiday gift at all, he learns about the true spirit of giving. 

Visitors to this free event are invited to take photos with Santa, decorate cookies, enjoy face painting, crafts and a balloon artist, and meet Eddie the Florissant Police Dog.

Celebrate Fall and Halloween at this free festival for all ages, where you'll enjoy hayrides, inflatables, balloon sculptures, face painters,  a DJ, pony rides, games and lots more. Costumes are welcome. 

In addition to trick or treating, kids can enjoy pumpkin painting, mask decorating, a photo wall with props and more. Non-candy treats will also be available. 

Kids can spend the afternoon of Columbus Day making fun, spooky art at That Painting Spot!

Kids with sensory needs are invited to visit with Santa at area malls during Santa Cares. Visits will be held in a calming environment before the malls are open to the public. Photo packages will be available for purchase. 

Main Street St. Charles is the setting for this family favorite holiday event. The Santa Parade features all of the Christmas Tradition characters, carolers, and a cavalcade of international Santas, each carrying the flag of their native land.

Enjoy a Trunk or Treat that benefits the Special Olympics of Missouri.  Sponsored by the Maryland Heights Police Department, this trunk or treat includes pumpkin painting, candy, food trucks, a petting zoo, police and fire vehicles and more. 

Preschoolers are invited to come in costume to the Great Pumpkin Decorating Party. Pumpkins and all supplies will be provided, including sparkles, stickers and more. There will also be games, story time and snacks. 

The Castlewood Stables Friday Night Equestrian Club is a 2 1/2 hour event that is held on select Friday nights for 8 to 14-year-olds. They will learn the basics of riding, make a fun craft, learn about grooming and tacking up a horse  . . . all in a Horse Club/Camplike setting! Registration is required.

Family Fall Art Day allows you to make your own masterpieces while enjoying cider and popcorn. Choose from several projects, including painting a paper mache pumpkin, making a plaster mask, glittering a spider, creating a clay stickman and more. 

The annual Celebration of Lights in Fort Zumwalt Park in O'Fallon, Mo., has been a holiday tradition since 1991. 

Critically acclaimed singer, songwriter and poet Ellis Paul is returning to The College School for a free family concert that is open to all. Kids can sing along as Paul performs songs from his award-winning children's albums The Dragonfly Races and The Hero in You.
