The Lantern Festival is a yearly tradition in China, culminating in the Chinese
New Year Celebration. With the help of the St. Louis Modern Chinese School and the Chinese Culture and Education Services, the magic of the Lantern Festival is coming to The Magic House.
Children and families can celebrate with Chinese face painting, Lunar Calendar arts and crafts, and, on Saturday, a Chinese Tea Ceremony and Lion Dance. Visitor can also experience the new Children's China exhibit at The Magic House.
Activities are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 7 and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 8 and are free with Magic House admission.

See the Zoo's California sea lions perform acrobatic and athletic feats, including Olympic-style dives on a high-diving platform, flipper walks, frisbee tosses and plenty of surprises. While on stage with the sea lions, the Zoo's trainers explain sea lion behavior and positive-reinforcement training, in addition to the need for conserving the sea lion's ocean habitat.
Storytelling in the Museum is an in-person storytelling event happening at 10:30 a.m. at the Missouri History Museum. This event, perfect for the preschool set, features engaging stories with themes like Grandparents Day, Disability History, Baking, Homes Around the World and more.
