
The Saint Louis Science Center hosts SciFest: Play and Creativity Expo, an all-day, free event showcasing how STEM concepts, innovation, play and creativity all go together. Visitors can get involved and engage their own creativity through exciting, hands-on activities.
At SciFest, your whole family can engage in and explore:
Brain games, fold and take-home origami, Star Wars costume design and technology, 3D painting and printing demos, fishing and fly tying, creative circuit building, Rocket League play and competition, robotics demos, board games, STEM and St. Louis Blues hockey, chemistry demos and more.
There will also be special presentations on the Energy Stage, plus exhibits and activities from partners like the Challenger Learning Center, Boeing, Wash U, SLU, SLSC Exsports, American Chemical Society, the St. Louis Artists' Guild, the U.S. Air Force, Donald Danforth Plant Science Center and many others.
SciFest: Play and Creativity Expo is happening Saturday, July 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is a free event.

Visit the James S. McDonnell Planetarium in Forest Park and see a star show to experience the largest artificial sky in the Western Hemisphere. Star shows are lead LIVE by one of the Planetarium's educators, creating a new and tailored experience for every audience.

See the Zoo's California sea lions perform acrobatic and athletic feats, including Olympic-style dives on a high-diving platform, flipper walks, frisbee tosses and plenty of surprises. While on stage with the sea lions, the Zoo's trainers explain sea lion behavior and positive-reinforcement training, in addition to the need for conserving the sea lion's ocean habitat.
Enjoy free snow cones and watch as the sun sets on greenways across the St. Louis metro area at Sunsets and Snowcones sponsored by Great Rivers Greenway. This free summer series is designed to connect people to nature and community while highlighting the 135 miles of greenways maintained by the agency.
Meet Louie, the St. Louis Blues mascot, who will pose for photos and sign autographs at this free library event. Your kids will learn what it's like to be a mascot and what it takes to get ready for the season too!
