Babies and Toddlers

Enjoy food, movies, music and refreshments at Downtown Summer Nights in Kiener Plaza on Thursdays throughout the summer. This weekly celebration takes place in the shadow of the Gateway Arch every Thursday through August 28. Entertainment includes a variety of family movies like Frozen, Mamma Mia, The Wiz and more, live music and even a special presentation of Shakespeare in the Park.

Toddlers and their grownups can learn, create and play during Toddler Thursday at Mastodon State Historic Site. Each session explores a different topic related to nature and includes activities and a craft.

Storytime in the Commons is back for another season of fun character visits and outdoor storytimes. At this storytime, explore the fascinating world of science and nature. At Storytime in the Commons: Be My Neighbor Day, kids will learn about being a caring neighbor, meet neighborhood helpers from the St. Louis Public Library and St. Louis Fire Department, and have the opportunity to get their picture taken with Daniel Tiger and Miss Elaina from the PBS Kids series, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood.

The Contemporary Art Museum invited families to celebrate creativity, play and togetherness at Family Day. Drop in anytime to participate in free hands-on art activities, games, entertainment for kids from DJ Munchkin, puppet shows, a babywearing movement class, and more.

Enjoy an outdoor family movie along with popcorn, candy and refreshments at Schafly Bottleworks in Maplewood.

Kids can learn about the reptiles and amphibians that call Missouri home, and get up close to them too at this presentation by animal experts Debbie and Steve Teson. 

Get ready for high-gear excitement at Tractor Days at Eckert Farms! The plaza will be packed with farm machinery for kids and grown-ups to explore up close. Kids can see, touch and even sit in the driver's seats! Little farmers can enjoy tractor-themed sipper cups filled with farm-fresh sweet cider and take home tractor tattoos, stickers and coloring sheets.
