World-champion sand sculptor Dan Belcher shares tips and techniques on the art of sand sculpting at the site of his latest masterpiece, the 75-ton sandcastle on the shores of Sandcastle Beach at The Magic House. 

Kids can learn how to create their own "sandsational" sculpture using only sand and water. 

June 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and June 5 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Play outside at The Magic House! Celebrate National Get Outdoors Day with some good old-fashioned outdoor recreation. Fresh-air fun will fill the museum's front and back yards, promoting health through movement and play.

Kids can get behind the wheel as ceramicists from Krueger Pottery demonstrate the art of working with clay. Kids will coil, pinch and throw their own earthenware creations. Part of the Visiting Artist Series.

There's no business like snow business when artist Marion Nichols shares the unique art of cutting paper into intricate snowflakes at The Magic House.

Kids can explore the art of mask making and masquerade with craftsman Scott Schoonover as they unmask their creativity and use a variety of materials to create their own original disguise.

The Magic House is giving away the beach! The exhibit Sandcastle Beach is leaving for the summer and on June 28, famillies are invited to take some of the beach home with them. Anyone intererested in filling their sandboxes or backyard should bring shovels, bags, buckets and trucks to get digging. With about 200 tons of sand, there is plenty to go around.
