Space Travel

Kids can race a balloon rocket and design their own car engine as they learn about space travel.

They'll see the principle of propulsion at work in a real rocket launch, and build their very own Shuttle Copter to fly to the skies! 

Part of the Art at Your Library series at the St. Louis County Library. Presented by Mad Science of St. Louis. For ages 6-11.

Space Travel will be held:
 

June 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Jamestown Bluffs Branch

June 21 at 3 p.m. at the Grand Glaize Branch

Astronomy Day

Join the Saint Louis Science Center and members of the St. Louis Astronomical Society for fun astronomy activities for all ages.

You can learn about telescopes and how you can begin exploring the stars on your own, and, if the weather permits, take part in solar observing near the Planetarium entrance.

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All activities are free.

Build It! Preschool gives preschoolers a chance to engineer a sleek aircraft, a sturdy house and a steady bridge using recycled materials. Each week features a different building challenge and structure to take home.

Above and Beyond Opens at the Saint Louis Science Center

Celebrate aerospace technology at the new, highly interactive special exhibition at the Saint Louis Science Center: Above and Beyond. This special exhibition will immerse you in flight and space travel, with simulations that allow visitors to design and test-fly a supersonic jet, experience flight as a bird, and ride in a space elevator. 

Above and Beyond takes you faster, farther and higher for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It's produced by Evergreen Exhibitions in association with Boeing, in collaboration with NASA and the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum.

Family Med School Basics

Families can spend a morning at the Saint Louis Science Center with anatomy and physiology experts from Adventures in Medicine and Science (AIMS) and Physical and Athletic Training Programs at Saint Louis University. 

Activities include a virtual tour of the major organs and body systems utilizing a fully dissected human cadaver and hands-on anatomical dissections. There will also be discussions of some medically important disease processes and ways to stay healthy and unjury-free. Ideal for parents and their children in grade 5 and up.

Miriam Celebrates Neurodiversity, Supports Unique Learners
