Grand Opening of the Rawlings Experience St. Louis

Celebrate the opening of The Rawlings Experience St. Louis at its Grand Opening featuring appearances by Fredbird, Ozzie Smith and Ted Simmons, along with giveaways, prizes and special deals all day.

Events include:

  • Live broadcast of 101 ESPN from 7-10 a.m.
  • Fredbird appearance from 8:30-9:30 a.m.
  • Ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m.
  • Meet & Greet with Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith from 10 a.m. to Noon
  • Meet & Greet with Hall of Famer Ted Simmons from 2-4 p.m.

Both Meet & Greets include the opportunity to take photos but no autographs.

Also during the day, visit the Glove Vault with a lineup of current and historic Rawlings Gold Glove Awards and see limited edition gloves, including a Swarovski Crystal-embellished masterpiece. Swing for the fences in the indoor Batting Cages for baseball and softball bat tryouts. Learn about custom glove and bat creation options. Photo op spots at The Rawlings Experience include a 10-foot-tall Rawlings Gold Glove and a giant replica of an official MLB Game Ball.

While on stage with the sea lions, the Zoo's trainers explain sea lion behavior and positive-reinforcement training, in addition to the need for conserving the sea lion's ocean habitat.
