At this health, safety and fitness-focused event, kids ages 5-10 can run a timed, obstacle course-style race and compete in simulated firefighting skills to see if they can meet the Healthy Heroes Firefighter Challenge. Participants will be coached through the course by Metro West firefighters, and each child will get to experience what it's like to complete real firefighting skills. In the process they'll learn how important it is to be physically fit and healthy. Please bring a bicycle helmet for your child.
At the Healthy Heroes Firefighter Challenge, visitors can also see the newly remodeled station and enjoy refreshments.
