Enjoy the Saint Louis Zoo online! Zoom with Saint Louis Zoo educators is a live, free presentation that allows families to learn more about animals and how amazing they are. Themes vary, and registration in advance is required. After registering, you'll receive a confirmation email letting you know how to join.

Camp MEHS Family Camp Out

Animal rescue doesn't stop in the face of a global pandemic, and the Metro East Humane Society (MEHS) is offering a way for families to have fun and support animals in need at the same time. Camp MEHS on September 5 will feature a take home "camp" kit for families, including t-shirts and bandanas to tie dye, crafts, s'mores kits, Chef's Shoppe popcorn, Annie's Bow Wow Cups, smoothies from Source Juicery, Four Muddy Paws goodies for your four-legged friends, beverages for adults and kids, and more.

Kirkwood Safety Town Exhibit Opens at The Magic House

Kids can learn how to play it safe starting September 12 when Kirkwood Safety Town returns to The Magic House. Co-created by The Magic House and the City of Kirkwood, this interactive exhibit is designed to educate the region's youngest residents about safety. Kirkwood Safety Town features a child-sized neighborhood including a fire station, police station, electric company, farmers market, park, house, and even a train station!

Geocaching in Schroeder Park

Geocaching is an outdoor treasure hunting game using either a GPS-enabled device or the official Geocache app. Use either to navigate your way to a cache, read the clues and search for it. A local geocaching enthusiast will be in Schroeder Park to teach families about this activity which is especially good while social distancing!

Film Night at Purina Farms - Drive-In Style

It's movie night at Purina Farms - drive-in style! Enjoy a showing of "Babe" outside on a jumbo screen. Audio will be transmitted to an FM radio station so you can hang out in or nearby the safety of your vehicle. Pre-show entertainment will be provided by the Purina Incredible Dog Team and others! Pedal the Cause Kids Challenge Virtual Event

Kids can help end cancer by registering for the Pedal the Cause Kids Challenge. Registration fee is only $10 and includes a Kids Challenge t-shirt. Kids Challenge participants can set a goal to compete a physical challenge (riding their bikes, running, walking or another activity) on their own the weekend of September 26-27.

Calling all super heroes! Kids are invited to meet their favorite super heroes and learn how wearing masks can make them super heroes for their communities too! The Magic House and The Magic House - MADE for Kids will welcome Spiderman, Wonder Woman, Captain America, Black Panther, Shuri, and more. Families are invited to make reservations at either location to attend, explore, and meet the super heroes. Kids can also decorate their own masks on site.

Youth Activism Workshop (Virtual)

At this Youth Activism Workshop, sponsored by the Missouri Historical Society's African American History Initiative, kids will explore the broader context of the Civil Rights movement through a variety of primary sources and evaluate how activists communicate their messages through images and words. Then they will identify and explain issues they care about by creating a poster that advocates for their views.

The Magic House Announces Fall Learning Camp for K-5

The Magic House announced it will open Learning Camp, a supervised, socially distanced environment separate from museum visitors where kids in kindergarten through grade 5 can spend the day working on school work if needed, and participating in a STEAM-centered curriculum.
