
Each Wedesday in June kids ages 8 to 12 are invited on a nature adventure focused on biology and art. They'll explore the beauty in nature and create artwork inspired by our area's plants, insects, fish and wildlife.
Themes are:

June 13: Insects
June 20: Wildlife
June 27: Fish

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free. Dress for the weather and bring a water bottle and sack lunch. Reservations are required.

See the Zoo's California sea lions perform acrobatic and athletic feats, including Olympic-style dives on a high-diving platform, flipper walks, frisbee tosses and plenty of surprises. While on stage with the sea lions, the Zoo's trainers explain sea lion behavior and positive-reinforcement training, in addition to the need for conserving the sea lion's ocean habitat.
