WeatherReady Fest is about kids having fun while learning basic weather forecasting concepts through hands-on activities and taking part in demonstrations. They'll also get a chance to meet Fredbird and Nick Walker, the Weather Dude from The Weather Channel.
Kids will pretend they are thunderstorms dumping heavy rain on different kinds of ground, splash their way to learning about rainfall measurements, and get to play the Young Metorologist Program game that teaches them how to stay safe in severe weather.
Fredbird will visit from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. WeatherReady Fest takes place on August 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Saint Louis Science Center.
The event is free but tickets are required for timed admissions. Get tickets here
