Gather at the west end of Tower Grove Park to enjoy a family movie and fun activities for all ages. Fun, educational, hands-on activities for kids will relate to the theme of the movie. All activities are free.
July 15: A Bug's Life. Activities begin at 6:30 p.m. with the U.S. Forest Service, The Butterfly House, the Missouri Department of Conservation, Great Rivers Greenway, St. Louis Wildlife Project and others, including a storytime from the St. Louis Public Library at 7 p.m. The movie, A Bug's Life, begins at 8 p.m. sharp. August 12: Over the Hedge. See the Zoo's California sea lions perform acrobatic and athletic feats, including Olympic-style dives on a high-diving platform, flipper walks, frisbee tosses and plenty of surprises. While on stage with the sea lions, the Zoo's trainers explain sea lion behavior and positive-reinforcement training, in addition to the need for conserving the sea lion's ocean habitat.
