Artscope is seeking Extended Dy Providers to join our Summer Camp Create team at our Cottage in Tower Grove Park. The position is from 2:45 - 6:15 p.m. Monday through Friday from June 1 - August 6. Compensation is $15/hour. We have no camp the week of July 5th-9th. Candidates must be 18 years old, and previous experience working with children in a child care setting is preferred. Enjoying spending time with elementary school children in a creative play setting is a MUST. Position requires working primarily outdoors in a public park setting, and you must be able to lift at least 30 pounds. You must pass a state background check. Extended Day Providers are required to provide CPR/First Aid certificate, or to attend CPR/First Aid training prior to the start of camp. See the Zoo's California sea lions perform acrobatic and athletic feats, including Olympic-style dives on a high-diving platform, flipper walks, frisbee tosses and plenty of surprises. While on stage with the sea lions, the Zoo's trainers explain sea lion behavior and positive-reinforcement training, in addition to the need for conserving the sea lion's ocean habitat.
Storytelling in the Museum is an in-person storytelling event happening at 10:30 a.m. at the Missouri History Museum. This event, perfect for the preschool set, features engaging stories with themes like Shapes, Black Music Month, STEAM, Juneteenth, The River, and more.
