Forsyth School is a leading independent, co-educational school for children age 3 through Grade 6. Located next door to Washington University and across the street from Forest Park in the Wydown-Forsyth Historic District, Forsyth offers a one-of-a-kind campus with classrooms in six repurposed, historic homes. The mission of Forsyth School is to provide children with a supportive atmosphere and opportunities for success in order that they may develop self-confidence and a love of learning.
Forsyth offers a great start for 3-5 year-olds in Fillmore House, our beloved early childhood center, with dedicated and experienced classroom teachers AND specialist teachers for physical education (beginning in Junior-Kindergarten), science, Spanish, library, and yoga & movement. The faculty-developed curriculum is a cohesive continuum across all grade levels, so starting Forsyth in Pre-Kindergarten or Junior-Kindergarten prepares children for the primary grades.
The Magic House offers special morning hours for families with young children Tuesday through Friday during the school year. Select exhibits open at 10:30 a.m. before the entire museum opens at noon. Preschool Hours feature exhibits that are geared toward children ages 2-8, but anyone is welcome to visit.
Kids and teens ages 6-15 can practice and explore a variety of obstacles, fine tune their skills on a single obstacle, or practice running the customizable courses at Ultimate Ninjas Open Play. Registration is recommended.
