At Crayola® Imagine Arts Academy, we provide the creative spark and let children's imaginations do the rest. The fun and creative environment allows kids to use their ingenuity in new ways and fosters the development of important skills. We are offering both full-day and half-day camps at 10 locations across the St. Louis metro area. There are four week-long themes to choose from:
In World of Design, campers take a journey to the farthest reaches of the imagination while learning about the ocean, the rainforest, Mars and a futuristic city, and more! Kids design using the thinking process to solve real-world problems in these different environments. They will experiment with Crayola® products and many art techniques like sculpting, storyboarding, collage, and mixed media. Discover design careers like graphic design, universal design, urban design, and product design.
During Artist's Passport camp, children embark on an around-the-world cultural adventure – explore far-off places and learn about the people who live there, from the Americas to the Ivory Coast, from the cosmopolitan to the countryside. Kids experiment with Crayola® products, while trying art techniques developed by local artists and artisans. Make a different masterpiece each day, including a dot art canvas, a mini-Pakistani bus, a mud art painting on fabric, and an imperial jeweled egg! Bring the unique creations home and build a globally-inspired art gallery.
In Artblazers camp, kids discover the inspiring masterpieces and artists who have changed the world of art and the world as we know it – from Frida Kahlo's self-portraits to Keith Haring's street art. They design a different, unique, artist-inspired creation each day. We encourage them to create the change they want to see in the world!
At Wild World camp kids explore the wonder and beauty of the animal kingdom, and discover nature in a way that inspires empathy, curiosity and creativity. They learn about many different animals and how wildlife conservationists are working to protect species around the globe. They experiment with a variety of art techniques and use Crayola® art materials to create frog paintings, ink-diffusion jellyfish, polar bear sculptures and more!
In Legends and Lore, campers explore the legends and lore every society has, from sea creatures of the deep to phoenixes in the sky. We'll tell their stories through paintings, sculptures, and other works of art. These legends may inspire awe, curiosity or surprise, but they all inspire our imaginations!
