Elementary Age

Each week, Butterfly House staff will highlight a different beneficial insect through fun facts, crafts, games, and other family-friendly activities.

Kids can discover amazing things about the snakes and lizards that live in Missouri at this free program. Kids will observe live snakes and lizards and even touch some. 

Are snakes really slimy? How do they move, smell, hear and catch food? Little ones (ages 4-6) can learn about snakes and observe live snakes found in Missouri. They'll even be able to touch a snake if they want to,.

Come prepared to take a short hike to see if any snakes can be observed in their natural habitat. For ages 4-6 with a parent or caregiver.

Found at Sea is an exploration of a child's feelings as her parents go through a divorce. This free presentation is recommended for families with children in grades 2-5.

Celebrated Alvin Ailey dancer/choreographer Matthew Rushing's Uptown creates an episodic tour through 1920s Harlem, bringing to life the rich artistic activity of the era. For ages 7 and up.
