Middle Schoolers

PlantTech Jam features hands-on science, tinkering and robotics fun for the whole family. This free event, open to all ages, includes science innovation and technology related activities and a chance to learn more about the Danforth Center through a behind-the-scenes tour of the scientific facilities and prairie.

Catch a movie or two at the Saint Louis Science Center's OMNIMAX Theater, where films are shown featuring the IMAX with Laser. This state-of-the-art theater provides the sharpest images, unmatched sound quality and 40% greater color range than traditional theaters. The five-story, 80-foot-diameter dome will fill your entire field of vision providing a truly immersive experience. 

Enjoy lots of fun activities to celebrate Children's Book Week at the St. Louis County Library. Library branches across the county will hold special events featuring your kids' favorite costume characters like Curious George, scavenger hunts, opportunities to make book-inspired crafts, themed parties and lots more. All events are free.

Join the celebration in Forest Park to kick off Spring at the Steinberg Skating Rink. The Spring Festival at Steinberg includes activities for all ages, including outdoor roller skating, kids' activities, vendors, a make-a-Mother's-Day-card station, music, contests and more in a beautiful setting in Forest Park. The Starlight Cafe will be open, and there will be local vendors as well.

Kids who love to fish or just want to try it out are invited to participate in the Chesterfield Fishing Derby at Central Park Lake. Registration is required.

Celebrate the arrival of Spring at this family-friendly Community Day series Spring Fling at Tower Grove Park. There will be a variety of hands-on activities for all ages and live entertainment for the whole family.
