Spooktacular Kindergarten Fair

Parents are invited to attend the Spooktacular Kindergarten Fair to learn about Charter School opportunities in St. Louis. Bring your kids in costume for trick or treating while you learn about kindergarten options. 

Schools represented include: The Biome School, St. Louis Language Immersion Schools, Confluence Charter Schools, City Garden Montessori, Gateway Science Academy, Lafayette Preparatory Academy, EAGLE College Prep and more.

Kings, Queens & Castles Opens at the World Chess Hall of Fame

Bring your family to the new Kings, Queens & Castles exhibition at the World Chess Hall of Fame. Created in collaboration with The Magic House, this innovative, interactive family exhibit brings the game of chess to life and provides an engaging introduction to individual chess pieces and game strategy. The exhibit features an array of hands-on elements. A drawbridge leading to a castle greets guests, a dress-up station transforms children into royalty, and life-sized chess pieces with cutouts for faces make for great photos! Manchester Munchkins Halloween Party

Preschool age children will enjoy story time, crafts, games and activities based on fun themes that promote socialization and sharing. Dress to get messy for this morning of outdoor Halloween fun.

A snack will be provided, and a parent must stay with the child for the entire event. Cost per child is $6 and registration is required. 

For ages 2 to 5. 10 to 11 a.m. at Paul. A. Schroeder Park in Manchester.

Sea Lion Shows at the Saint Louis Zoo

See the Zoo's California sea lions perform acrobatic and athletic feats, including Olympic-style dives on a high-diving platform, flipper walks, frisbee tosses and plenty of surprises. While on stage with the sea lions, the Zoo's trainers explain sea lion behavior and positive-reinforcement training, in addition to the need for conserving the sea lion's ocean habitat.
