You can pet a turtle, hold a lizard, sell your old toys at the Kids' Flea Market, or invent a new one out of cardboard. Paper Kite Butterfly Festival

Experience flight and wonder at the Paper Kite Butterfly Festival at The Butterfly House. Watch paper kite butterflies fly through the tropical conservatory, see kite building demonstrations, build original butterflies. and decorate your very own kite to take home.

A-MAZE-ing Cockroaches

Kids will replicate a famous study using live cockroaches and play dough at this free workshop presented by The Butterfly House.

Kids ages 7-12 will replicate a famous study by zoologist Charles Henry Turner. Working in teams, kids will build a maze out of play dough and run live cockroaches through it. 

Part of the StArt@Your Library series at the St. Louis County Library. 

A-MAZE-ing Cockroaches will be held June 28 at 10 a.m. at the Daniel Boone Branch.

Breakfast with the Very Hungry Caterpillar

Take your kids to The Butterfly House to have brunch with The Very Hungry Caterpillar! Guests will meet live caterpillars and butterflies, listen to readings of Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar book, and explore the interactive Bug Stations.

This special day will be captured with a souvenir photo with The Very Hungry Caterpillar himself!

Reservations are required and space is limited.
