Kids and teens ages 8-15 can learn the basics of using a potter's wheel to make functional clay pieces and non-functional sculptures in Clay Class: Wheel Throwing at Laumeier Sculpture Park. They'll study the fundamental techniques of wedging, centering and raising cylindrical forms such as bowls, cups and vases.
Discover the endless possibilities of found objects as you collaborate and create a one-of-a-kind sculpture that expresses your family's unique style.
The workshop at Laumeier Sculpture Park is for kids ages 4-12 with an adult.
