What do fine wines and the finest dog breeds have in common? They're the products of selection, refinement and good taste!

Experience both at the International Cheese, Wine & Canine Festival Sept. 28 at Purina Farms. Get up close and personal with more than 40 different breeds of dogs originating from all parts of the world while sampling an international smorgasbord of wines, cheeses, flatbread pizzas and desserts. This is the perfect  getaway for your next date night!

You'll enjoy tasty tidbits of food and knowledge as you learn about different breeds' temperaments, abilities, training, ownership and handling while meeting dogs of various breeds, including Austrailian Shepherds, Kookerhondijes, American Staffordshire Terriers, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Whippets, Dachshunds, Samoyeds, Saint Bernards, Corgis, Dobermans and Borzois. You can also cast your vote at the People's Choice Best of Breed Booth.

Entertainment includes amazing cultural dancing, including hula dancing and German dancing, and Augusta winery and Montelle winery will host a special wine bar in the North American section of the event and offer samples of their local wines.

Taster tickets are for guests 21+ only. All event guests must be at least 18. No outside dogs will be allowed. Taster tickets are $50 in advance and $55 at the door. Tickets for designated drivers (non-drikers) are $25.

Saturday, September 28, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Indoor Purina Event Center at Purina Farms.
