Longmeadow Rescue Ranch is hosting its annual Spring Fling for families on April 26. The fun includes an up-close look at the Longmeadow Rescue Ranch horses, wagon rides through the 165-acre state-of-the-art horse farm and animal rehabilitation facility, celebrating Twister, the rescue horse's 16th birthday, and lots more.
You'll also have an opportunity to meet the world-famous Barn Buddies and ride a rescue horse. Nestled among 165-acres of woodland near Union, Missouri, the Humane Society of Missouri's Longmeadow Rescue Ranch is a haven for hundreds of abused and neglected horses, cows, goats, pigs, ducks and other farm animals.
Spring Fling fun includes kids' activities, riding demonstrations, farm tours, wagon rides, Rescue Ranch Rides, the Right Horse Roadshow, equine-related vendors and food and refreshments available for sale.
The Ranch is one of the most comprehensive horse and farm animal rescue, rehabilitation and adoption centers in the country. In addition to animal care, ranch staff provides hands-on humane education experiences for both children and adults.
