
Celebrate Latin America's rich history, culture, traditions at the fifth annual Día de los Muertos Festival at the Missouri History Museum. This free celebration is a collaboration with Hispanic Festivals, Inc., and features beautifully decorated altars representing a variety of Latin American traditions, live music, dance performances, art displays, souvenir printmaking, food and drink vendors, a procession through Forest Park and other family activities. The Missouri Historical Society's Teens Make History Team will also host a story sharing station where individuals can interview each other and record their personal stories.
Visitors can also enjoy a scavenger hunt for all ages, face painting, a free screening of Disney Pixar's Coco, make-and-take crafts, storytelling in Spanish, soccer activities with the St. Louis Club Atletico, and a free performance of Frida Libre by Metro Theater Company (at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday).
Día de los Muertos is an annual holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and around the world in other Hispanic cultures and recognizes the rich history and traditions of Hispanic/Latino culture. The lively celebration at the museum is designed for all ages to enjoy and honors the contributions made by Hispanic artists, musicians, dancers, artisans and chefs.

See the Zoo's California sea lions perform acrobatic and athletic feats, including Olympic-style dives on a high-diving platform, flipper walks, frisbee tosses and plenty of surprises. While on stage with the sea lions, the Zoo's trainers explain sea lion behavior and positive-reinforcement training, in addition to the need for conserving the sea lion's ocean habitat.
