The staff at Kraus Farms offer a fun and educational program teaching students about horses in a fun environment. Our instructors stress safety, horsemanship, and enjoyment as the most important elements of our camps. In addition to riding, your child will learn how to groom, saddle, bathe, and care for a horse. When the children are not in the barn, they are participating in games, crafts, and educational presentations. Kraus Farms summer and holiday camps are offered on days that schools are not in session. We offer a convenient, fun, educational program with a day of riding and other horse-related activities. We offer:
Mini Buckaroos Camps. This camp is designed for younger kids (ages 5 & 6) and is held Monday through Thursday. No previous experience is required.
Little Ranchers Camps. This camp offers children between the ages of 6 and 10 a hands-on week with Mother Nature and farm critters. Campers will have hands-on farm training as well as learning to ride horses three of the days during Little Ranchers Camp.
Camps are offered all summer long! We also offer riding lessons year-round, and trail rides from March through November.
Visit the James S. McDonnell Planetarium in Forest Park and see a star show to experience the largest artificial sky in the Western Hemisphere. Star shows are lead LIVE by one of the Planetarium's educators, creating a new and tailored experience for every audience.
