Did you know that February 14th is St. Louis’s birthday? The Missouri History Museum has created a new festival to celebrate, featuring activities, food, music, and fun.
Families will want to attend on Saturday when the Red and Black Brass Band kicks off the festivities at 10 a.m. Then head to the History Clubhouse for storytelling at 10:30 a.m. This program is trilingual so everyone can participate—offered in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language.
All-day activities include playing classic backyard games like washers and cornhole, exploring the sensory table to touch artifacts that represent St. Louis and its symbols, and crafts like making birthday hats and custom flags for your neighborhood.
Don’t miss the special pop-up food vendors for lunch, and browse the wares of local makers for gifts and souvenirs of the day.
Explore the World’s Fair and Collected exhibits, including a new gallery that showcases things “Made in St. Louis.”
The St. Louis Birthday Bash is happening February 14 and 15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Missouri History Museum. Admission and all activities are free.
