The parade kicks off at noon at 18th and Market Streets in downtown St. Louis. The parade proceeds east to its conclusion at Broadway and Market Streets, and takes place rain or shine.

In this workshop, parents or caregivers and their kids will collaborate to make their own loom and make a little woven pot holder from t-shirt yarn. Take your loom home and make more tiny weavings! This workshop is best suited to kids ages 6-12. Cost is $25 per child/adult pair for non-members; $20 for members.

The enslaved Scott family, including Dred, Harriet and their daughters, sued for their freedom from slavery prior to the Civil War. See a reenactment of the case in one of the restored courtrooms at the Old Courthouse in downtown St. Louis.
Rangers will facilitate the reenactment and participants will read printed scripts, taking on the roles of the people involved in Mr. and Mrs. Scott's 1850 trial.
