Visit The Magic House at they celebrate the final days of the exhibit Children's China. This festival of fun includes special lion and dragon dances.

Lion dance performances are at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Dragon dance performances are at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Music of China

Visitors to The Magic House can enjoy performances from the St. Louis Modern Chinese School showcasing a variety of Chinese instruments.

There will be Waist Drum performances at 10 a.m. and noonm and singing performances at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

At Miriam School, students with complex learning differences are supported and celebrated as they grow academically, socially and emotionally. Celebrate the 100th anniversary of Route 66 at the Missouri History Museum during this four-day festival (April 30–May 3) exploring the Mother Road’s stunning scenery, quirky roadside attractions, and complex history. All activities are FREE! The festival kicks off on Thursday, April 30 with an outdoor concert featuring Sweetie and the Toothaches, playing hits of the 1940s–1960s.

Friday through Sunday, explore activities for all ages. Crafts include making a “neon” sign, creating a car air freshener, and decorating a paper hat for a shift at a roadside diner. Don’t miss the open playroom where families can work together to plan a trip on Route 66 the old-fashioned way—with paper maps and brochures!
