University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis offers a variety of high-quality summer programs for future leaders and innovators. Designed to spark an interest in learning and discovery, these programs offer middle and high school-level student opportunities to explore science, technology and health care while accessing exclusive experiences on our intimate campus in the heart of St. Louis.
Health Care Summer Immersion Program
Your All-Access Pass to Discovery! High school students can experience what it is like to live on a University Campus while exploring health care careers and opportunities! This week-long residential, academic enrichment program offers exclusive hands-on activities including research and lab experiments, faculty lectures and panels, leadership and network building events, and evening activities highlighting the best of St. Louis. The application deadline for session I is May 15, and the deadline for session II is June 17.
Program dates: June 7-11; July 17-23.
Esports Camp Series
UHSP and the Saint Louis Science Center are excited to partner together again to offer a series of week-long experiences for 12- to 19-year-old gamers in the St. Louis region. Together with STEAM professionals in the esports, medical and technology industries, campers will learn about various careers, ask questions and try new games in the UHSP Esports Arena. Campers will get to experience various game titles all week, then finish the final day with a competition in the Science Center's innovative gaming arena, featuring one of four popular games. These sessions for middle and high school students will be held May 31-June 3, June 13-17 and July 11-15.
Eye Thrive will provide free, on-site vision screenings, eye exams and prescription glasses to children ages 4 through 12th grade at these clinics held at St. Louis County Library locations.
The Whitaker Music Festival at the Missouri Botanical Garden is a beloved summer tradition that presents free Wednesday evening concerts under the stars. Bring the kids, because there is free admission to the Children's Garden from 5-7 pm.
Meet Louie, the St. Louis Blues mascot, who will pose for photos and sign autographs at this free library event. Your kids will learn what it's like to be a mascot and what it takes to get ready for the season too!
Join the Missouri History Museum for free family fun in June and July at the Summer Family Fun Series! Enjoy a variety of family activities, including crafts, performances from St. Louis children's entertainers, scavenger hunts, workshops and storytelling.
