¡Feliz cumpleaños! In Carmela Full of Wishes, it’s Carmela’s birthday, and she’s finally old enough to tag along with her big brother while he runs errands. As they journey through their vibrant neighborhood, past familiar sights like the busy bus stop, the local repair shop, and the panadería, Carmela discovers a single dandelion growing in the pavement outside the Laundromat. But before she can blow its delicate seeds into the wind, her brother reminds her of the importance of making a wish. If only she could find the perfect wish…  

Step into the magical world of Harry Potter at this one-of-a-kind geocaching event! Dress in your finest wizard attire and enjoy an enchanted quest using magical directional devices to uncover hidden secrets. 

Enjoy children's stories and hands-on nature activities followed by a stroll on the Maline Greenway at Storytime and a Stroll sponsored by Great Rivers Greenway. Children of all ages are welcome with a caregiver. Meet at the Detective Valentine pavilion in Bella Fontaine County Park.

Nothing signals fall has arrived like a bonfire! Create new family memories in a beautiful outdoor setting at Babler State Park in Wildwood. Each Bonfire Night includes a cozy fireside gathering followed by exploring the night sky and learning about our universe. Bonfire Nights are for all ages.

With so many twinkling, sparking things in the sky, how do you know what you are looking at? Bring your family and learn how to read the night sky at Starry Nights: Family Astronomy at Babler State Park in Wildwood. Participants will explore constellations, stars and more. This program is for all ages. 

The Hanley Fall Festival is an evening celebration for all ages. Kids can enjoy mini pumpkin painting and fall-themed crafts. There will also be live music and food trucks.

Celebrate reading at the Little Readers Festival. This free event features a variety of activities and performances, and kids ages 5 and under will receive free books and shaved ice. Activities will be provided by Ready Readers, the Missouri History Museum, Cardinals Care, Nine PBS, Florissant Valley Fire Protection, Parents as Teachers, St. Louis Science Center, Missouri Botanical Garden, and many others. Visitors will also enjoy performances by Miss Libby's Music Party and story times with Pigeon.
