Get to know your SLSO! Enjoy a fun-filled afternoon on Sunday, October 9, at 3 pm with an entertaining 45-minute orchestral concert designed specifically for children ages 5-10. Conductor Norman Huynh and Professor Nigel Taproot from Really Inventive Stuff take you on a tour through Benjamin Britten’s Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra.

Enjoy October weekends of free spooky fun at Halloweekends at the Saint Louis Zoo! Come to the Zoo dressed in family friendly costumes and as you walk around to see the animals you'll find non-scary Halloween decorations, watch special pumpkin enrichment treats with the animals, experience costumed character meet-and-greets, enjoy the Family Game Zone, take part in the Pumpkin Stomp 'n Chomp, enjoy fall treats and more. 

Dine in one of the extended patios in Central West End while you enjoy performers, activities for kids, and live music on the last Saturday of the month. Family-friendly festivities include fire performers, jugglers, balloon animals, face painting, games, unicycle performances, hula hoop performances and more. 

Take a trip to the stars and beyond at Tower Grove Park's first-ever, very kid-friendly, Astronomy Festival. 

Grove Fest is a family friendly street festival now in its 17th year. It features main stage performances, a family area, street performers and artists, great food, paint-by-numbers street mural painting, a merchant area with local vendors and more. Family entertainment includes The Bubble Bus, Juggling Jeff, the STL Hoop Club, African dancers, a fire performer and more.

People with disabilities, friends and allies, show your pride at this celebration of the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. This fully accessible day of fun includes activities for all ages, including booths, food trucks, crafts, games, music and entertainment.  

Celebrate Shark Day at the Saint Louis Zoo! Enjoy steel drummer entertainment, learn fascinating facts about sharks, including how conservation efforts upstream in St. Louis make a difference in the challenges sharks face in the ocean. Plus, guests who wear a shark costume will receive free access to Stingrays at the Caribbean Cove!
